About these Brevard Zoo wedding photos...Jennie and Daniel had their wedding ceremony and reception at the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida. It was about an hour from Orlando and they picked a perfect day for an outdoor wedding!
When we first arrived at the zoo we were so excited to see the giraffes and the baby giraffes right across the water from Jennie and Daniel's ceremony spot! The ceremony site at the Brevard Zoo is on a deck that overlooks the water, giraffes and other animals at the zoo.
Jennie is a graphic designer and she made so many of the awesome details they had at the wedding. I loved taking photos of all of it - signs, table numbers, banners, etc. I also loved the details of the dresses hanging, shoes and peacock themed accessories! Jennie wrapped up her updo in a scarf and headed to the ceremony in a yellow BMW convertible!
After the ceremony we walked around the zoo grounds to take some posed photos. Then we headed inside for the reception. The reception area at the Brevard Zoo is part of the deck space where you have your ceremony. So guests can head inside and as the night progresses people were going back outside to enjoy the evening on the deck.
Some other fun details at Jennie and Daniel's wedding: Daniel had Star Wars R2D2 Cufflinks! They arranged their place cards for guests to pick up at the cocktail hour on a bed of animal cracker cookies. They had folded origami for guests to write wedding notes on for them to read later. The bridesmaids wore giraffe print garters with tiny silver giraffe charms on them. At some points during the ceremony Daniel was up on his toes to keep the sun off of Jennie's face! It was very sweet. Daniel had a really cool silver nautical flask with a port hole window on it. Instead of a wedding cake Jennie and Daniel had the Yum Yum food truck bring cupcakes! They had a small cake at the top to cut with a icing shape with Jennie's design work featuring them as caricatures. They also had a lego cake topper next to the cupcakes since Daniel collects Legos! All of the photo booth props made it onto the dance floor - especially during the Harlem Shake!
