About these Foundry Park Inn wedding photos...
Hayley and Kramer were married at the chapel on campus at the University of Georgia. Their reception was at the Foundry Park Inn in Athens, GA.
Hayley and Kramer had their rehearsal at the University of Georgia chapel on Friday afternoon. Then they all walked over to the East West Bistro for the rehearsal dinner. The rehearsal dinner was held upstairs in the private rooms of the East West Bistro. The great thing about downtown Athens and the University of Georgia is almost everything is walking distance away! And as a side note - we had dinner later that night at a restaurant in Athens called Five and Ten. It was incredible! I love limoncello and they also had fennelcello! It was delicious! The food was great, too. I would definitely go back there again!
We stayed at the Foundry Park Inn so it was easy to walk over to the ballrooms and check on the room's progress for the day. The ballrooms at the Foundry Park Inn are right next to a bar/club called the Melting Point and there are lots of spots for pictures in this area with the exposed brick. We met the girls right by the arch at the University of Georgia for their pre-ceremony pictures. Hayley looked awesome in her dress from Bride Beautiful in Atlanta. Once we finished the photos of the girls they headed inside Demosthenian Hall to wait for the ceremony. We then did photos of Kramer and his groomsmen by the arch. The arch has quite a bit of symbolism for the University of Georgia and if you walk under the arch while you are a freshman, legend has it that you will never graduate. I think this legend has gone even farther and now the Bulldog graduates are the only ones that go through the arch. If you look on the ground around the arch you will notice the concrete on the outside of the arch is considerably worn down compared to the middle!
After the ceremony at the University of Georgia's chapel, we headed over to the Foundry Park Inn for the reception. Hayley and Kramer had the Fantasy Band from East Coast Entertainment and the guests didn't stop dancing all night! It was one of the best dancing crowds we have ever seen at a wedding and the pictures prove it! Not only did we take a lot more photos than usual - Hayley and Kramer met our new record of photos given to a bride and groom! After the last dance by the Fantasy Band, guests headed outside the Foundry Park Inn's ballroom to wave sparklers as Hayley and Kramer made their grand exit.
Another funny side note - someone (possibly the groom, Kramer!) ordered Gumby's pizza during the reception. We hadn't seen Gumby's pizza or Pokey Stix since our days at the University of Florida in Gainesville! So we dropped off all of our gear to our hotel room and grabbed a table and chairs out in the courtyard area at the Foundry Park Inn and ordered some Gumby's!
