About these Longboat Key Club Wedding Photos...

Megan and Nick were married at the Longboat Key Club in Longboat Key, Florida. I was really looking forward to their beach wedding and to checking out the Longboat Key Club. It is in a residential area just north of St. Armand's Circle and I didn't even know it was there until now! I love the Sarasota area and we have done weddings before in Siesta Key and Anna Maria Island - it was great to finally have a wedding on Longboat Key!

The beach is private and the only people around are hotel guests. The staff at the Longboat Key Club rake the area around the ceremony and clear out the beach chairs - it is a really nice touch!

Megan and Nick decided to do a first look so we set that up before the ceremony. We took lots of pictures of them in advance and a few others before the ceremony started. Steve with Romantic Weddings blew into a conch shell horn at the start of the ceremony - it was great! Megan and Nick also did a sand ceremony. My favorite part of the ceremony was after they walked down the aisle at the end they went up the boardwalk stairs and cheered from the top back down to their guests below!

After we took a few sunset photos on the beach, we headed up to the Island House at the Longboat Key Club. The cocktail house was out on the back patio overlooking the golf course. Then the guests headed inside the ballroom at the Island House for the reception.
