About these New Orleans wedding photos...
Rachel and Ross had a destination wedding in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rachel and Ross met while at Tulane University. I met Rachel when I photographed her Mom's wedding in Florida. Rachel asked me if I would be willing to photograph her wedding even though it was in New Orleans. Of course I would - New Orleans held a special place in my heart, too. Chris found my engagement ring there at an antique shop on Royal Street!
Rachel and Ross had their wedding ceremony at the New Orleans Irish Cultural Museum. The Irish Cultural Museum has a great courtyard that is perfect for outdoor wedding ceremonies. After the ceremony we did some posed photos at the Irish Cultural Museum and then we walked around the streets of New Orleans for a few more photos, too. I was really excited at one point when a horse drawn carriage went perfectly into my backdrop!
Next door to the New Orleans Irish Cultural Museum is the Musee Conti Wax Museum. The New Orleans Wax Museum has a great open space upstairs that is perfect for wedding receptions. The sun was starting to go down but a little bit of blue light was still coming through the skylights. The New Orleans Wax Museum has a large stage where you can have your DJ or band set up. It is a very large space with exposed wood beams and a wood floor that is great for a large dance floor!
