About these The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne Wedding Photos...

Jessie and Ryan were married at the Dr. Phillips House at the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne. Jessie and I had talked months ago about rain and how it couldn't rain since the backup plan was to have the ceremony inside. The Dr. Phillips House is an old house and it would be hard to fit their guests all in the foyer area to watch the ceremony. And the staircase is huge but it might not have been enough for all of the attendants to fit. Well, Saturday came and it was torrential rains. I kept checking my weather app and the whole state appeared to be covered in green. But it was moving - very slowly. I was SO excited when the sky opened up about 10 minutes before the ceremony! I couldn't believe it! It ended up being a gorgeous night and the reception was outside on the patio and on the back porch of the house.

I was excited when I saw Jessie had a White by Vera Wang gown! I was one of the first people inside David's Bridal when they announced the line and everything was so pretty. I've been waiting for one of our brides to wearing one of those dresses and Jessie was it!

After the ceremony we took photos of family and the wedding party down by Lake Lucerne. Jessie requested a fun pose that looked like the poster of the recent hit movie "Bridesmaids" and I thought it was a great idea! Jessie also saw a photo of a couple on the stairs at the Dr. Phillips House that included the big painting above the staircase so we re-created that for her.

DJ Sage kept both dance floors packed all night - the patio and the back porch!

The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne is located in downtown Orlando, Florida. It is a bed and breakfast and it is a beautiful location for a wedding ceremony and reception. The Dr. Phillips House is the big yellow house and it has a courtyard and gazebo out back as well as a many rooms inside for a reception (it is an old house). Then we also have seen weddings at the IW Phillips house (there is one of those in our gallery, too) and it has a big courtyard as well. Instead of getting married in a gazebo there most couples get married on the big porch of the IW Phillips House. The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne is also knows as the Orlando Historic Inn and it has on site accomodations for your wedding guests.
